Muddy Mountain West is a vibrant Bluegrass band hailing from Southern California. Their journey is inspired by legendary artists like Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Billy Strings, Bill Monroe and Tony Rice, blending traditional sounds with modern influences.

There must be something in the water because Muddy Mountain West hails from Oceanside California, the same neighborhood that brought us Chris Thile, Sara Watkins and Sean Watkins. In 2024 MMW started their musical Journey by solidifying their line up as Pierce Brunton (Guitar/Main Vocals) Maxwell Dotts (Mandolin/Vocals) Tim Zimlich (Fiddle /Harmonies) Grant Chacón (Banjo) and Trevor Mulvey (Bass) . By 2025 they reached the festival circuit level with performances at the famed Fathers Day Bluegrass Festival in June and the 46th annual Huck Finn Jubilee Fall of 2025.
